    The problem

    Manual invoicing costs time, and the mandate raises the stakes.

    From 1 January 2027 large businesses must issue and receive structured e-invoices through an accredited service provider; everyone else follows on 1 July 2027. A PDF by email no longer counts.

    Outgoing invoices: heavy manual work

    Invoices are typed, checked and emailed by hand. Missing TRNs, wrong VAT categories and rounding differences only surface when the FTA rejects them.

    Incoming invoices: no visibility

    Supplier invoices arrive by email, WhatsApp, portal and now Peppol. Data is retyped and nothing is in one place for the VAT return.

      Pilot phase opens

      Voluntary adopters start exchanging PINT AE invoices through accredited service providers.

    2. 30 Oct 2026

      ASP appointment deadline, Phase 1

      Businesses with revenue of AED 50 million or more must appoint an Accredited Service Provider.

    3. 1 Jan 2027

      Phase 1 go-live

      Issuing and receiving e-invoices becomes mandatory for businesses with revenue of AED 50 million or more.

    4. 1 Jul 2027

      Phase 2 go-live

      All other businesses issue and receive e-invoices.
